Cranberry seeds are obtained from sound, mature berries and are mechanically separated from cranberry pulp. The seeds are then dried to a specific moisture and the process is validated to a 5 log micro reduction. This mighty seed is high in fiber, protein and can claim the honor of being nature’s only naturally red seed.
Cranberry seeds are prime candidates for use in baked goods, crackers, bars, granolas, clusters.
Cranberry harvest in North America begins in September and can last through early November.
The cranberry growth cycle requires 16-18 months depending on conditions. This production cycle includes initiation of the flower bud (bud set) and the time to harvest mature fruit.
